From the moment that 7 Years Today opens their live show it is clear they are a musical force to be reckoned with. Part rock and roll swagger, part wistful country, this band pulls no punches in letting you know their songs come from the stoic determination five musicians have to create music much akin to the great albums of the past.

At first listen, it becomes apparent there is a new voice that speaks to both the pain and hope that is the human experience. Mylon English’s voice ranges from deep and earthy to a certain kind of powerful that expresses several emotions all at once. The music supporting Mylon’s vocals are provided by some of the most talented players from the Austin and Houston areas. Matt Siegel is known on the local music scene as the consummate guitarist providing lead work that fuses fast improvisation lines with blues-rock and country influences. Brad Kokocinski is a triple threat blending solid bass work and great harmonies, meanwhile providing an animated stage performance. Jadan Oliver is the band’s “secret weapon” as a second lead player, whether it’s a blazing organ line or boogie-woogie 50’s style piano. Jeff Leech , the band’s newest addition, is an amazing organic drummer whose rhythms lay a natural foundation like he’s been playing with the band for years.

7 Years Today has had the fortune to share the stage with artists such as Cory Morrow, Stoney Larue, Whiskey Myers, Bleu Edmonson, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Malford Milligan and many others in the Texas music scene. In 2012, the band will begin work on their third release while they continue to tour in Texas. All in all, the band’s goal is to get the listener back to that time when music was everything important in the world…because they still believe it is!

7 Years Today is endorsed as an Anheuser-Busch Shock Top True Music Band through Jack Hilliard Distributing, Temple, TX.
